You walked on top of buildings to get anywhere. The rich had homes outside where life was based around a massive courtyard. The poor had farms where they raised moles for the rich to eat with vegetable patches to subsist off for theirselves. They found humans disgusting, hairy, two-legged freaks. They didn't think human mothers could possibly love their children after having to be burdened with carrying them for nine months. Humans must be evil if they have to hide from the Sun in their huts.
